- 01Generative AI is a tool that understands your instructions and produces helpful ideas, words or solutions in response. It doesn’t think like a person. It works by spotting patterns in the information it was trained on and using those patterns to create the most useful answer it can. A simple way to see it is this: you guide it with good instructions and it gives you practical starting points. You stay in control the whole time. AI won’t run your business or make decisions for you. My role is to show you how to use it safely, confidently and in a way that genuinely supports how you work.
- 02AI is a broad term for computer systems that can analyse information, recognise patterns and make useful suggestions. Some AI works quietly in the background, for example sorting emails or spotting trends in data. Generative AI is a type of AI that creates new content, such as text, images or ideas, in response to your instructions. Tools like ChatGPT fall into this category. In simple terms, AI is the umbrella term and generative AI is the part of it that helps you create things. When we talk about AI for individuals we are referring to generative AI.
- 03AI can support almost every part of your work in simple, practical ways. It can help you write clearer emails, organise ideas, plan content, improve communication or save time on tasks that usually take longer than they should. During training, we look at your real day-to-day tasks and explore where AI can make life easier. It is not about replacing the way you work. It is an extra pair of hands so you can focus on what matters most.
- 04Yes, as long as you use it thoughtfully. AI is safe for most work tasks, including writing, planning, and organising ideas. I will show you how to use it responsibly, protect your information, avoid sharing anything sensitive and spot when an answer needs checking. You stay in control at all times.
- 05If you can use email, you can use AI. My training is designed for real people doing real work. It’s practical, supportive and focused on helping you feel confident using AI in ways that actually fit your day-to-day tasks.
- 06AI Confidence 1 to 1 training is for individuals who want to understand and use AI in a clear, calm and genuinely practical way. This includes professionals such as sole traders, freelancers and small business owners. I am also passionate about helping children's therapists and practitioners. You don’t need to be tech-savvy or confident, just open to learning something new and curious about how AI can support your work. Whether you’re brand new to AI, have tried it a little or are ready to explore it more strategically, the training meets you exactly where you are. Everything is tailored to your role, your goals and your pace, so you always feel supported, not overwhelmed.
- 07ChatGPT, as it is the most widely used AI tool at the moment. It is simple, accessible, and available on both computers and smart phones. If you want to look at another specific AI tool just let me know. The vast majority of what we cover will apply equally well to other tools such as Google Gemini.
- 08I teach the core skills using ChatGPT, but the principles apply to tools like Google Gemini, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot. If you prefer another tool, and have an account, we can work with that too.
- 09My training is in person, hands-on and built around you. We work with your real tasks, your everyday challenges and the goals that matter most to you. You can ask questions as we go, try things out together and learn at a pace that feels comfortable. Afterwards, you’ll receive personalised resources to help you keep using AI with confidence long after the session ends.
- 10No. You can start with the free version of ChatGPT, especially for the Learn session. For the Build session, a paid plan such as ChatGPT Plus can be helpful if you want access to more advanced features, but it is not essential. We can talk about what is best for you and your budget during the free, pre-training Zoom chat.
